Hoggard beats Rose, takes control of conference race

Posted Sunday, September 19, 2010 by Tim Hower

It was a revenge match for Hoggard when it took on Greenville Rose on Thursday.
The Vikings lost two matches to the Rampants last year, including a 5-1 defeat in the third round of the 4A duel team playoffs.

The outcome was much different this time around, as Hoggard swept all three doubles courts to take a 6-3 win and take control of the Mideastern Conference.
The Vikings (5-2, 3-0) used their depth to enter doubles with a 3-3 tie. Caitlin Neal, Chloe Opper and Ellie Scialabba won at No. 4, 5 and 6 respectively.
Hoggard hosts Laney on Tuesday and travels to Ashley on Thursday.
