Bucs snap 21-match losing streak vs. Hoggard

     Laney avenged an earlier season loss to Hoggard with a 5-4 victory on Thursday afternoon at the Jeff Holcomb Tennis Complex.
     The Buccaneers won four singles matches, but Hoggard won at No. 1 and 2 doubles to square the match.
     The outcome came down to No. 3 doubles, where Laney's Suzie Schoolfield and Kendall Hanks won 8-5.
     It was Laney's first win over Hoggard since 2002, a streak lasting 21 matches.
     Hoggard (9-6, 8-3 Mideastern) travels to Cape Fear Academy on Monday at 4 p.m.
